GJAL was conceived by Iqbal Hossen as an independent gem lab to serve the Greater Vancouver area and the Fraser Valley. GJAL provides professional Gemological Appraisal & laboratory Services to the jewellery trade, and to private owners of jewellery and watches. Our laboratory services are also available for Customs, Bankruptcy, Estate, and Insurance purposes. GJAL handles your valued collections with the utmost care. Our gemologist can also provide independent consultancy if you require our expertise prior to an important acquisition. We rely on industry recognized standards, and equipment when inspecting jewellery and/or watches.
Personal Profile • A fluently bilingual (English & French) accredited Gemmologist/Diamond Consultant and Jewellery Appraiser with extensive experience in the following fields: gems testing, evaluation and validation reports; customized jewellery manufacturing, evaluation, certification, repairs and sales; gems and jewellery consultation to government, private sector businesses, other jewellers and individual clients.
Career to date is made up of some twenty-five years of developing and acquiring an in-depth knowledge and expertise in the various facets of the industry of gems and jewellery, demonstrating in the process strong communication, sales, marketing, innovative and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to own and manage a jewellery store and acts as advisor to business associates, government agencies and individual customers.
Iqbal possesses excellent customer service skills that have been honed over the years while dealing with clientele from all over the world. Iqbal has capacity and the resourcefulness to adapt to any working environments without jeopardizing one's creativity, initiative, performance and productivity. Thoroughly practical by nature, Iqbal works well in teams or independently, with the reputation of being a highly conscientious, hardworking and a reliable individual.
